Title: Graphic Designer
Hayley Gilmore has worked as a graphic artist with the MSU Office of Public Affairs since 2013. In her role, she collaborates with other graphic artists within the Publications division to produce a vast array of well-designed publications each year, including brochures, posters, advertisements and more.
Prior to joining Mississippi State, Hayley worked in the printing and customer service industry. From 2008 to 2009, she worked as a graphic designer at OMNOVA Solutions Inc. and Party & Paper in Columbus, Mississippi. While attending graduate school in Memphis, Tennessee, she worked as a customer service team member at Muddy's Bake Shop, a locally owned bakery known for its community service efforts. She has also taught undergraduate graphic design courses as an instructor at the University of Memphis.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Mississippi University for Women and a Master of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from the University of Memphis.
Hayley is a member of AIGA and the Southeastern College Art Conference. Her research and design interests include graphic design in zine making, interactive multimedia, current and traditional printing methods, letterpress printing, and contemporary art and design. In her free time, she works as a freelance graphic designer and curates a blog about fine art, design and popular culture. Currently, she resides in her hometown of Columbus, Mississippi.
