Grace Cockrell, originally an Alabama native, was welcomed to the OPA Photo team right after graduating from Jacksonville State University where she worked as a student photographer full-time throughout her collegiate journey.

A well-rounded photographer with more than six years of experience, Grace believes that photography is an extension of her soul. As a full-time university photographer, she is “overwhelmed with joy” that her job is a reminder that everyone has a “unique, individual story” and always seeks to connect with each of her subjects through her imagery.

Outside of campus, Grace captures weddings, portraiture, events, and just about anything else in between. When she and her camera are not needed, she enjoys visiting with her people, reading, thrifting, watercolor painting, and spending a recharge day with her two cats, Saturn and Daisy.
